Jingle Java Implementation

Web site of a Jingle Java Implementation Project.

What is Jingle?

Jingle is a new protocol which is supposed to extend XMPP to gain voice and multimedia communication. It permits the information transference over p2p.

This protocol was first designed by Google and the XMPP Software Foundation and was taken into a similar license to BSD.

Target of this project

In this project we want to ellaborate an implementation of the Jingle protocol in order to use it for general peer-to-peer communications. Since last Summer we have implemented the core Jingle protocol (explained in XEP-0166) and the extensions of Audio (XEP-0167) and RawUDP (XEP-0177); now we are working on the ICE Transport extension (XEP-0176) and we have a simple usable Open Source library.
